The sub-acute rehabilitation facility at Pleasant Bay gives recently hospitalized residents from the Lower Cape/Mid-Cape community the opportunity to recover close to home—in a skilled and exceptionally supportive setting. Over 75 licensed professionals work together to provide therapeutic services and nursing in these and other specialties:

  • Post-surgical care
  • Physical, occupational and speech therapy
  • Cardiovascular recovery programs
  • Aquatic therapy
  • Pre-operative strengthening programs
  • Post-mastectomy programs
  • Spinal health programs

The rehabilitation unit is a separate wing of the Pleasant Bay complex, with therapeutic programs conducted at the lower level, and patient rooms above. The unit even has its own entrance. A physician is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
